Folks Memorial Day is just around the corner, a lot of cities, towns and localities will be having parades and families will be having BBQs. Have you planned for the weekend? Or is your family staying home and spending quality time with each other?
If you're staying at home there's a couple of things you can do -
Throw a BBQ party! Red, white and blue should be the theme. Have a quick impromptu get together and have fun!
Have a memorial day movie fest with a bunch of close friends or the family. You can watch anything from Yankee Doodle Dandy to Flags of Our Fathers. Here's a great Memorial Day movie list.
If you're planning for a quick getaway or a change of scenery, you can do the following:
See if there are any concerts around town for Memorial Day and go and have fun.
Have a family picnic out to the park.
If you're in the East Coast area I highly recommend going off to Washington, DC and visiting the Capitol, White House, Lincoln Memorial, Viet Nam War Memorial and the Arlington Cemetery. Visit the Jefferson Memorial too if you have some time on your hands. Don't forget the museums they're free and the kids would love them.
